News reaching Ghanasportspage.com indicates Asante Kotoko team manager, Henry Ohene Brenya and IT manager, Richard Akoto have been authorized to represent the club at the upcoming Ghana Football Association’s 29th Ordinary Congress.
As reported this morning, Manhyia has communicated to the football governing body.
The appointment of the new representatives for the congress follows the dissolution of the board and Nana Yaw Amponsah’s exit.
Ohene Brenya and Richard Akoto will now represent the club as replacement for the outgoing CEO and Administrative Manager Emmanuel Dasoberi at the GFA’s 29th Ordinary Congress, which will be held on Monday, July 10, 2023 at the Great Hall of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi.
The dissolution of the board marks a significant change in the club’s leadership structure, and it also signifies the end of Amponsah’s tenure as CEO.
The former 2019 Ghana Football Association presidential candidate’s departure from the club brings an additional dimension to the developments, as it suggests that the internal dynamics and conflicts within the leadership played a role in his exit.
Kotoko would have to regroup and appoint new leaders who can steer the club forward and address the challenges that led to the dissolution of the board.
