Brazilian international, Fabio Gama has said he is happy to write his name in the history books of Asante Kotoko forever.
Reflecting on his two-year stint with the Porcupine Warriors, the stylish midfielder divulged that they failed during his first season after finishing second behind Accra Hearts of Oak but he was able to achieve his dream to write his name in the history books of the club after lifting the league title in his second season.
“We failed during my first season because we were not able to win the trophy and finished second on the league table.
“But we were the champions in the second season so for me I achieved my goal at Kotoko because the club had gone far before winning the Ghana Premier League so I believe that I put my name in the history books of the club forever after winning the trophy”, Gama told Ghanasportspage.com.
“As a member of the 2021/22 Premier League Champions, the fans will remember my name. I believe that and it is very incredible for me”.
The Brazilian international joined Asante Kotoko in October 2021 prior to the start of the 2020/2021 league where he will go on to play for the club for two seasons.
He made his debut for the Porcupine Warriors on Sunday, December 27, 2020, when he came off the bench in the 81st minute against Medeama SC in Tarkwa, replacing Godfred Asiamah.
During his two seasons in Ghana, Fabio Gama left a lasting impression with his performances on the field and helped the club to win the Premier League title for the first time after seven years before his departure in 2022.
Gama currently plies his trade with Bahraini giants Al-Muharraq SC.
