Coach Seydou Zerbo has revealed how he felt after he was informed to step down as gaffer of Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Fox FM, the 60-year-old tactician disclosed that it was a sad moment for him but he had to accept it an move on.
The Burkinabe tactician joined the Porcupine Warriors in August 2022 but left the club after seven months.
Zerbo took over from Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum and supervised Kotoko’s early exit from the CAF Champions League after losing to RC Kadiogo on penalties.
He was fired after losing 2-0 to Medeama SC at their own backyard in a week 23 encounter of last season’s Ghana Premier League.
“After the Medeama defeat in Kumasi, the CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah came to see me and informed me about the decision to terminate my contract. Indeed it was a sad moment for me but I had to accept it and move on,” Seydou Zerbo stated.
