Life patron of Asante Kotoko, Otumfour Osei Tutu II has tasked former Black Stars of Ghana trainer, James Kwesi Appiah to find a substantive coach for the Porcupine Warriors before the start of the 2023/24 season.
The experienced tactician was handed this role during a meeting with the legends of Asante Kotoko and members of the various supporters group.

According to sources based in Kumasi, Otumfuo also provided an update on the state of the club where he indicated that the outgoing Chief Executive Office of the club, Nana Yaw Amponsah is owed unpaid salaries.
The legends of Asante Kotoko and members of the National Circles Council expressed appreciation to Otumfuo for the audience and pledged to continue supporting the club.
Although things did not go well last season, there is hope that things will change next season.
Veteran coach James Kwesi Appiah is expected to report to Manhyia after finding the new head coach for Asante Kotoko.
