Bechem United striker, Hafiz Konkoni has revealed why his move to Accra Hearts of Oak is taking long than expected.
Konkoni, who was recently invited to Black Stars has been the Phobians top target after the 2022/23 season but their first offer was rejected.
Despite this setback, the Rainbows are determined to get the signature of the striker to bolster their squad.
Asked about why his move to Accra is taking long than expected, Konkoni said: “The Rainbows are still showing interests and talks are ongoing but my club president is not in Ghana so they are waiting for him to come before we can finalize things,” the 24-year-old attacker told Ghanasportspage.com.
Konkoni ended the 2022/23 campaign with 15 goals, three goals short of leading top scorer, Abednego Tetteh.
He was exceptional in the local league last season and his skills attracted Black Stars coach, Chris Hughton, who invited him to be part of the national team for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Madagascar in Antananarivo.
