The Ghana League Club Association (GHALCA) have confirmed the cancellation of this year’s top-four competition.
The competition which is reserved for teams to finish in the top four of the betPawa Premier League was scheduled to be played from August 6 to August 13 at the Baba Yara Stadium.
However, a statement from GHALCA has revealed that the competition will not be coming on due to what they described as circumstances beyond their control.
“We regret to announce the cancellation of this year’s GHALCA top 4 tournament due to circumstances beyond our control. The decision has been communicated to the participating clubs. Any inconvenience caused is deeply regretted,” the statement revealed

The GHALCA top four is a preseason tournament which serves as preparatory ground for participating teams heading into a new football season.
Medeama SC, Aduana Stars, Bechem United and Bibiani GoldStars were supposed to participate in this year’s edition. Bibiani GoldStars earned a place in the competition as a replacement for Asante Kotoko, who had withdrawn from the competition.
