Ghanaian midfielder, Mudasiru Salifu has left Asante Kotoko to complete permanent move to Al-Bukiryah FC of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The central midfielder had an incredible four seasons with the Porcupine Warriors.
Mudasiru arrived at the club in 2019 and soon established himself as one of the best in the league, earning him a call-up to the Black Galaxies. His first goal came in Kotoko’s remarkable 3-1 away win over Dreams FC in the opening fixture of the 2021-2022 season.
The player’s contributions to the club ever since his arrival have been immeasurable both on and off the pitch, playing a vital role in Kotoko’s title-winning season. His high levels of enthusiasm and professionalism saw him been named vice captain for the season.
He also enjoyed two successful loan spells at Moldovan club FC Sheriff Tiraspol, helping them secure a group stage berth in the UEFA Europa League, where he faced off with five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo. The midfielder, following the expiration of his loan deal, joined Saudi Arabian club Al-Batin in the Saudi Pro-League.
Muda’s terrific performances did not lack suitors who chased him for his service. However, after prolonged negotiations, Asante Kotoko SC reached an agreement for his permanent move to the Middle East.
