Ghana Premier League side, Accra Lions have continued their efforts to add some football’s best young talents to their squad with the arrivals of Tamale City FC striker, Yahaya Mohammed, Musah Hamazata from Kenpong Football Academy, Shakun Abubakari and Ghana U-20 goalkeeper, David Afful.
Yahaya Mohammed, who scored four goals in 24 matches for Tamale City FC last season has signed a a permanent deal for the Accra-based following his incredible spell with the Northen giants.
Elsewhere, David Afful has also joined Ibrahim Tanko’s side on a two-year deal after undergoing a mandatory medical. The youngster was among Ghana’s squad who competed at the just ended WAFU tournament in Ivory Coast. He won the MOTM award after demonstrating a superb performance against Niger in their opening game.
Shakun Abubakari, on the other hand, is joining the Lions from Division One League side, Steadfast FC on a permanent deal.
The sensational winger attracted interest from the GPL side after scoring seven goals in 23 matches for Steadfast FC in the just-ended Division One League season.
Meanwhile, 20-year-old defender, Musah Hamzata has also become the latest addition to the Accra Lions squad. The former Kenpong Football Academy captain, is also joining the club on a permanent deal ahead of the 2023/24 season.
