Director of Operations for Bechem United, Francis Addae has confirmed that the management of Asante Kotoko have contacted the Hunters for the signing of two young attackers, Emmanuel Avornyo and Clinton Duodu.
The Porcupine Warriors are looking to bolster their squad for the upcoming season with some of the league’s wonderkids.
Avornyo and Duodu have been on top of Kotoko’s wanted list since last season and are likely to complete a move to the Kumasi-based club this summer.
Reacting to the speculations concerning the future of Avornyo and Duodu, Francis Addae said: “I had a heavyweight call from Kotoko concerning the signing of Emmanuel Avornyo and Clinton Duodu but I directed them to talk to the President because it was hard for me to negotiate.
“It is true that they are looking for the two players. Our President can only tell how things are going now,” he said.
The duo would be two excellent signings for Coach Prosper Narteh’s side and it would be a great impression for the ex-GPL winner to turn things around in his second spell with the club.
Asante Kotoko are expected to start pre-season on Tuesday, 8 August at Beposo in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
