Accra Hearts of Oak forward, Benjamin Yorke has dismissed reports linking him with a move to Bibiani Gold Stars in the ongoing transfer window.
There have been reports that the Bibiani-based club are negotiating with the management of the Rainbows to sign the former Samartex player to bolster their squad for next season.
In an interview with Ghanasportspage.com, the 26-year-old attacker played down rumours linking him away from Accra, insisting he is still contracted to Hearts of Oak.
“They sent the stories to me yesterday but none of our leaders has called me. I don’t know where that news is coming from.
“I am still training with Hearts of Oak and haven’t heard anything from our leaders. I am not ready to leave Hearts of Oak. They are not even ready to release me,” he stated.
Yorke, who found the back of the net four times in 25 Ghana Premier League matches, played a crucial role as Hearts of Oak narrowly escaped relegation on the final day of the season.
His impressive track record during his tenure with FC Samartex in the Division One League had heightened expectations that he could provide a solution to Hearts of Oak’s attacking woes.
