Ghana Premier League record winners Asante Kotoko have announced the signing of former West African Football Academy (WAFA) midfielder, Andrews Ntim Manu on a free transfer ahead of the upcoming 2023/2024 football season.
The talented defensive midfielder made imprints during his days at WAFA during their era in the premier league, but moved on to join Accra based Legon Cities following the relegation of WAFA into the lower division at the end of the 2021/2022 premier league season.
Having worked for WAFA as head coach before his first spell at Asante Kotoko, coach Prosper Narteh Ogum, who has just joined Asante Kotoko for a second spell, is much more familiar with the prowess of Ntim, and must have been a major reason for the fast capture of the skillful midfielder.
“We have completed the signing of defensive midfielder, Andrews Ntim Manu on a free transfer on a contract running until 2026”, Asante Kotoko announced in a post on Thursday.
Knowing how good Ntim was and has been over the past seasons, coach Ogum sanctioned his move and the club has now made official announcement of his arrival. It is now left with the Ntim to live up to every penny paid as coach Ogum seeks to build a formidable team for the Porcupine Warriors in the coming season.
