Former Asante Kotoko head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani believes the formation of the interim management committee (IMC )by Otumfour Osei Tutu II to oversee the affairs of the Porcupine Warriors is a positive decision.
According to the current Black Stars of Ghana assistant coach , he was part of the IMC of the club during his second year as Kotoko head coach and by experience , he believes the team is well-placed to excel in the upcoming season.
“You know I was part of the IMC during my second year as Kotoko coach. The King called me , Opiku Nti and one Mr. Opoku who was the accountant and entrusted the running the club into our hands. It helped us because we were not many as leaders and we could properly plan.” , Dramani said on Kumasi-based Fox FM as monitored by Ghanasportspage.com on Tuesday.
“The three of us gave our all making sure the club succeeds. So this is not the first time an IMC is formed at the club. The IMC means you have full responsibility , you have some sort of full belongingness of the club. There is no distraction because you are not too many.”
“The coach knows his area to operate , the administrator knows what to do too. I think that it will go a long way to help the club and I can only wish them well. For our time , the IMC were successful. If Kotoko do well , then all things too move on well in Kumasi and political wise , things go on well in Ghana”
“I believe that this IMC too will be successful. Some one like Kwesi Appiah , I have so much respect for and I believe that he will help Kotoko with his experience” , Didi Dramani added.
The Ghana number two won the 2012/13 and 2013/14 Ghana Premier League titles with Kotoko and he remains the last manager to win consecutive league honors for the club.
Dramani is also the first ever and still the only Kotoko coach to win the double of the GPL and FA Cup in a single league season.
