Asante Kotoko has parted ways with four senior team players, the club announced on their official Twitter page on Wednesday 16th August 2023.

The 2021/22 GPL holders have released the players including veteran defender Mohammed Alhassan and striker Dickson Afoakwa.
Other affected players are defender Charles Owusu, and attacker/forward Samuel Boateng, who was brought in last season.
The affected players were notified of the changes via a letter informing them that the club will not require their services and thanked them.
The club is already in the market searching for players to strengthen their squad for next season, in which they will be competing for the title.
Asante Kotoko finished 4th on the league log in the 2022/2023 season and will host newly promoted side Heart of Lions in the fixture of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League.
