Accra Hearts Oak are making some significant signings to bolster their team after suffering in the previous campaign. The team have already secured the services of Liventius Arthur from Tamale City FC and Kelvin Osei Asibey from Eleven Wonders.
Hearts of Oak new signings:
LIVENTIUS ARTHUR
The 21-year-old defender has signed a two-year deal with the Phobians.
He was outstanding for the Tamale City FC despite the club’s demotion to the Division One League. He made 29 appearances in total with some impressive performances.
Arthur will provide competition for his former teammate at Ebusua Dwarfs Dennis Korsah next season.
EVANS ADOMAKO
The forward is one of the three players who recently signed for the Ghana Premier League giants from Asekem following an impressive performance in the immediate pas Division One League season.
He is expected to improve the attack of the Phobians, who struggled to get enough goals in the previous season where they finished 12th after 34 games while narrowly demotion on the final day.
RAPHAEL AMPONSAH
The midfielder also joined the Rainbows from Asekem FC in the ongoing transfer.
Amponsah’s remarkable skills and talents have not gone unnoticed by Hearts of Oak, positioning him as a valuable addition to the team’s roster.
His impressive performances in the recently concluded Division One League season have further solidified his reputation as a formidable attacking midfielder.
MARTIN KARIKARI
The left-footed midfielder joins the Phobians on a five-year deal from Division One side Asekem FC ahead of the start of the new season.
Karikari impressed the former Ghana Premier League champions after starring for Asekem in the second-tier, scoring 12 goals last season.
KELVIN ASIBEY
Having failed to regain promotion to the Ghana Premier League with Eleven Wonders, the 22-year-old defender joins the Phobians on a permanent basis.
He scored two goals and supplied seven assists in 25 matches, winning six Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards, including a notable showing in the Division One Zone One playoff against Bofoakwa Tano.
Osei Asibey is expected to improve the defence of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League champions following their abysmal defensive show in the just-ended season.
MICHAEL AMPADU
The defender is the sixth signing of Hearts of Oak in the ongoing transfer.
Ampadu’s arrival is a notable acquisition, as the right-back joins the former Ghanaian champions on a free transfer following his recent departure from Legon Cities.
The seasoned defender’s addition to the squad is well-timed, serving as a boost after the departure of key defensive players including Robert Addo Sowah, Konadu Yiadom, and Caleb Amankwah.
