Accra Hearts of Oak intensified their preparations for the upcoming Ghana Premier League with an emphatic 11-1 win in a friendly match against lower-tier side, Miracle Land FC.
Kassala Ramos, who opened the scoreline at the Pobiman Complex scored hat-trick. Hamza Issah and Michelle Sarpong also bagged braces, while Wanimi Apatasi, Suraj Seidu, and Linda Mtange each scored once to give the Rainbows a comfortable win.
Hearts will still play some test matches to prepare for the upcoming season, which begins next month.
The Rainbows will commence the upcoming 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season with a challenging trip to Tamale, where they will face Real Tamale United.
The team struggled to meet their usual high standards, and a perilous situation nearly led to their relegation. A crucial draw on the final day saved them from the drop, allowing them to maintain their top-flight status.7
To avoid a repeat of last season’s difficulties, Hearts of Oak, under a new technical team, will be eager to bolster their squad.
