Head coach of Remo Stars Sports Club Daniel Ogunmodede says his team’s CAF Champions League game against Medeama SC is not a do or die affair.
The soccer rivalry between Ghana and Nigeria is one of the most strongest rivalries on the continent as the Black Stars edged out the Super Eagles to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup but Ogunmodede believes Sunday’s encounter is going to be a normal game.
“Football is not a do or die affair but it is normal in football. You can imagine Man City and Manchester United playing in the same Manchester , so is always like this , it is a derby , so Ghana and Nigeria countries from the same West Africa region , the rivalry is normal ” , Ogunmodede told Ghanasportspage.com in a exclusive chat.
This is the first ever meeting between the two teams in Africa as Ghana champions Medeama are determined to reach the group stage of the biggest club competition on the continent.
