President and owner of King Faisal FC , Alhaji Karim Grusah , has criticized the decision of the regional football association chairmen in the country to publicly endorse incumbent Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku ahead of the upcoming elections.
The former Dreams FC chief sees his first term as GFA president expire next month. He has filed to seek re-election and his only challenger is former vice president of the football governing body in the country George Afriyie.
The regional FA chairman publicly endorsed the candidature of Kurt Okraku in a viral video posted on social media but Grusah has raised a red flag.
“What they RFA chairmen are doing shows that out football is not heading towards a good direction. How can they endorse a presidential candidate when they know their mandate is about to expire as RFA chairmen.” , Grusah is quoted by Oyerepa Sports on Twitter.
“Their actions shows that they are “goro” boys. Look the RFA chairmen will vote to elect a new president and after that the new RFA chairmen will be elected. The RFA elections should be done before that of the GFA president” , the outspoken football administrator added.
