Meadeama SC Captain Vincent Atingah has spoken about their epic CAF Champions League match against Remo Stars on Sunday and said that they are hoping to win convincingly against the Nigeria side.
“Just to keep it short and simple, we are hoping for a convincing win. well, our preparations have been good and with the support of the technical men, we’re good to go” he told the press on Friday.
he also edges the fans to fill the stadium on Sunday to support them and they will put a smile on their face.
“I will just urge the fans to come in their numbers to support the team. I will say the Central and Western region are like twins and so if the Western region club is representing the country or the Central region club representing the country, it’s the same thing. So, I am calling on all the supporters to come in to support us on Sunday”. he appealed.
“We’ve already spoken to the young players in the team and we’ve already motivated them so we are good to go coming Sunday”, he ended.
The two teams were paired together for their respective maiden appearance in the upcoming competition. The first leg of the contest has been scheduled to take place at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Sunday 20th August 2023 in Ghana at 15:00GMT with the second leg to hold in Nigeria a week later.
