AS Monaco are leading the 2023/24 French Ligue 1 table with six points from two games as they see a strong start to the new league season.
The Monegasques produced another excellent form to dispatch Strasbourg by 3-0 on Sunday to go joint-top of the league standings with their consecutive win but Ghana star defender Mohammed Salisu remained sidelined.
The former Southampton center-back is a significant investment done by the Principality Club this season but lack of fitness is keeping Salisu away from making his debut for his new team.
No Salisu , No problem at the back so far following the first clean sheet of the season for the team managed by Mr. Hutter.
“Last season was difficult for me, I had some physical issues. Currently, I am working hard on a daily basis to be ready as soon as possible and to be available to the coach and the squad. My goal is to get back in shape fairly quickly, but above all to stay in shape for the long term.” , the Ghanaian recently said.
