Ghana international defender Alidu Seidu and his team , Clermont Foot , remain without a point after the first two match-days of he 2023/24 French Ligue 1.
Clermont were defeated 2-0 at Stade Reims on Sunday as the Black Stars defender started and completed the encounter.
Siedu was deployed at the right side of a three-man defence alongside Mateusz Wieteska and Andy Pelmard. The home team netted first in the 17th minute through Zimbabwe international Marshall Munetsi before Mohamed Daramy from Denmark sealed the win with his 84th minute strike.
Seidu did his personal best but it was not enough to allow Clermont Foot keep a clean sheet on the road as the team take the 17th position on the league standings after two rounds of matches.
