In line with his desire to be closer to the team and to check on the club from time to time, the Owner and Life Patron of Asante Kotoko Otumfuo Osei Tutu II stormed the camp of the Fabulous team yesterday to acquaint himself with the goings on in the club.
The surprise visit to the Beposo camping base of the club seems to have shocked the entire playing body and even the technical team members, as they kept murmuring about the strange visit.
The team had finished their day’s training and were on their way back to their camp when they were confronted on the road with Otumfuo’s convoy, this time made up of a few people mostly his security detail. Both parties made their way to camp, where Otumfuo spent about an hour with the team and told them he just passed around for a visit and to find out their living conditions and preparations towards the season.
The entire team thanked Otumfuo and seemed delighted by the visit, with some of the players later overheard saying such visits will surely alert all in Kotoko to be on guard and play their roles well so as not to be caught off guard.
