The majority shareholder of Accra Hearts of Oak has intervened to prevent two Hearts of Oak players from being offloaded from the Continental Club Masters, Ghanasportspage.com has exclusively learned.
A number of players have been released from the Phobian team in a ruthless squad shake-up ahead of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.
Faisal Adam Billey, Hamza Mohammed, Yorke Benjamin, Francis Adjetey, Rashid Okine, Yassan Ouatching, Appiah Clinton, Zakaria Yakubu, and Glason Awako will not be part of the upcoming campaign for the team coached by Martin Koopman.
However, Gideon Asante and Cameroon striker Albert Eonde who were initially on the transfer list have to thank the board chairman whose intervention means the duo will continue to wear the Hearts of Oak jersey this season.
