Ghana Football Association has confirmed Ghanasportspage.com’s [GSP1media] earlier report as Black Stars will play Liberia in an International friendly at the Accra Sports stadium on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, as part of preparations towards the Africa Cup of Nations Cote D’Ivoire 2023.
Meanwhile, the Black Stars of Ghana have scheduled two friendly games against the USA and Mexico.
The U.S. Men’s National Team will host four-time World champions Germany and Ghana in two high-profile friendly matches in October 2023 in preparation for its quarterfinal matches in the Concacaf Nations League the following month.
The Black Stars are preparing ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast. The four-time African champions will come up against the 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup champions Mexico as part of their preparations for a possible appearance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The game comes five days after the crucial qualifier against Central African Republic at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Thursday, September 07, 2023. While Ghana aims to make a record 24th Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Cote D’Ivoire, Liberia are all but out of contention for the continental showpiece but would use the game to prepare for future competitions.
The match which comes off on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, is scheduled for 4pm kick-off at the Accra Sports Stadium.
