Medeama SC have reached the group stage of the 2023/24 CAF Champions League after losing 2-1 at Horoya AC on Saturday.
The champions of Ghana won the first leg of the Second Round tie by 3-1 in Cape Coast last weekend.
Black Stars striker Jonathan Sowah scored from the spot in the 24th minute before in the 2th minute Mandela Ocansey equalized for the home side in the game that was played in Conakry.
Horoya made it 2-1 in the 76th as Medeama held on to avoid further goals.
The Yellow and Mauves thus become the first Ghanaian side to reach the group zone of the biggest club competition in Africa after Berekum Chelsea last did in 2012.
