Sudan Football Association has unveiled Former Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah as their new head coach.
Appiah penned a three-year deal with the Sudanese FA in Saudi Arabia, as the Sudanese Football Association currently operates from there due to the instability in Sudan.
He was unveiled alongside his assistant Ignatius Osei Fosu and former Ghana goalkeeper Fatau Dauda, who will serve as the goalkeeper’s trainer.
Appiah has been tasked to put things in order for the team following a run of poor results.
His immediate task is to prepare the team for their upcoming international matches against Togo and DR Congo in the World Cup qualifiers.
Appiah is expected to continue his role as the technical director of Asante Kotoko and also an Executive Council member of the Ghana Football Association.
Kwesi Appaiah led the Black Stars to two Africa Cup of Nations as well as the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
