NAB Show New York 2023: Record Attendance and Marconi Award Triumphs

New York, October 26, 2023 – The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) wrapped up its highly successful NAB Show New York, held at the Javits Center from October 24 to 26, with remarkable achievements in attendance and the recognition of radio excellence through the 2023 Marconi Radio Awards.

Record Attendance at NAB Show New York:
Preliminary figures released by the NAB revealed a significant surge in attendance for NAB Show New York 2023.

The annual event drew an impressive 12,231 participants to the bustling city, marking a substantial 28 percent increase from the 9,500 attendees in the previous year.

The expansive show floor hosted nearly 270 exhibitors, with 60 of them making their debut appearance. Attendees had access to around 225 sessions, featuring approximately 300 speakers.

The success of this year’s show sets the stage for an even more promising NAB Show New York scheduled for October 8–10, 2024.

2023 Marconi Radio Awards: Celebrating Excellence in Broadcasting:

As part of the NAB Show New York, the 2023 Marconi Radio Awards took center stage at the Javits Center on Wednesday night.

The awards ceremony, hosted by syndicated host Rich Eisen and featuring entertainment by DJ Scratch, recognized outstanding achievements in the radio industry.

Among the highlights was CBS sportscaster and news anchor James Brown receiving the Distinguished Service Award. Brown, visibly moved, expressed gratitude to his parents for the foundation that enabled him to utilize his talents to their fullest potential.

Diane Sutter was honored with the National Radio Award for her remarkable contributions to the NAB Leadership Foundation’s Broadcast Leadership Training program.
