Hearts of Oak head coach Martin Koopman says his is satisfied with the 1-1 draw his team recorded at Bibiani Gold Stars on Saturday during Week 7 of the Ghana Premier League.
The home team scored first in the 81st minute as dead ball expert Appiah McCarthy scored a brilliant freekick to put his team ahead. Hearts of Oak thought they had drawn the first blood earlier when substitute Evans Adomako slotted home from close range following a goal-moth melee but his effort was disallowed for offside.
Moments later the Phobians finally fetched the equalizer thanks to Hamza Issah who easily headed home in the 92nd minute to make it 1-1.
“The performance was fantastic so I am very happy about that because now we have long periods in training session and we showed what we need in the game and today you saw the players are very motivated. Sharp in everything , in one against one , we coming into the box. We wanted to win but a 1-1 here in this moment is okay” , Martin Koopman said after the game.
