Asante Kotoko deputy coach David Ocloo praised his boys for their 1-0 win over Medeama SC on Saturday.
Mohammed Sheriff scored from the spot during the 63rd minute as he grabbed the maximum points for his side over the defending champions.
The win sees Kotoko move up from the relegation zone to eleventh place, with assistant manager David Ocloo pleased with his players’ efforts.
The gaffer also divulged that the hard-fought win over the Tarkwa-based club at home should be the turning point for the Porcupine Warriors, who entered the game without victory in five games.
Speaking to Startimes, he said: “My boys did very well and you could see that they wanted it more and we won.
Is this the turning point for Kotoko? “Yes. Congratulations to them. This should be the turning point.”
Kotoko’s next game is scheduled for Friday, November 24 as they make trip to face Legon Cities at the El Wak Stadium on matchday 12.
