The weekend was full of drama and Kumasi occupied the hot spot as the Black Stars kept the nation sitting on a time bomb until Inaki Williams diffused it, thanks to a stoppage-time victory over Madagascar in a World Cup Qualifier.
Then came Sunday when Kotoko took on Medeama and flew off with all 3 points in a highly temperamental game at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. David Ocloo the assistant manager of Kotoko gave hints of what happened at the Kotoko dressing room after the match by explaining that one only needed to be in the room to experience the excitement as the team finally managed to get a win after several matches.
The coach who was full of smiles revealed that Kotoko had carefully planned and executed this match and things worked for the club adding that the team was excited about the numerous chances created and will build on the win.
“The win will help us seriously, the morale is very high now and the pressure will go down. The excitement on the faces of the players and fans tells it all” said Ocloo.
Kotoko jumped away from the bottom places of the league after the win and will seek to better it more with another win against Legon Cities in Accra on Saturday.
