Reigning Ghanaian champions Medeama have safely landed in Ghana following their defeat against Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League on Saturday, November 25, 2023.
The Yellow and Mauves were thumped 3-0 in their debut group-stage appearance against the most successful side in the competition at the WE Al-Ahly stadium.
Despite the seemly big defeat, Medeama gave a good account of themselves holding Ahly to a goalles at half time.
However, the home side turned the game on its head with goals from Kahraba, Hussein El Shahat, and Salah Mohsen.
Following the win, Ahly goes top of the Group tied with CR Belouizdad who beat Young Africans in their group opener.
Medeama will look to register their first win when they host CR Belouizdad in their second game of the group stage at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Friday, December 1, 2023.
