Black Stars could be with Tariq Lamptey after sustaining a long-term injury during Brighton and Hove Albion’s win over Nottingham Forest.
Lamptey, who made his injury return in the game, was subbed off after 35 minutes when he sustained a new injury.
Speaking ahead of their game against AEK, Brighton manager Roberto de Zerbi confirmed that Lamptey will be out for a long period.
“We have lost Ansu for a long time. Same for Lamptey, they will be out for a long time.”
Lamptey joins the growing list of Black Stars players who could miss the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
He has made just four appearances for the Black Stars since switching nationality in 2022.
His last appearance for the Black Stars dates back to November 28, 2022.
