Deutsch tactician, Martin Koopman has voiced his disappointment in Accra Hearts of Oak board members following his departure.
According to Koopman, he was unappreciated by the board members and has failed to receive a goodbye message or a call from them including the board chairman, Togbe Afede.
In an exclusive interview with Ghanasportspage.com, Koopman disclosed; “Can you imagine that after receiving the message on 11th November, none of the members has sent me a goodbye, thank you or meeting each other for a dinner and thank you for the four months that you worked with us. Nobody called me including Togbe. Is a very bad situation,” he said.
“If you are a big club, you can call me and talk to me. Very bad situation. If you can’t do this then you are not a big club. I am very angry but I’m still the best coach for Hearts of Oak and the fans will know it very soon,” he added.
The Dutch coach ended his stint with Hearts of Oak with a record of only two wins in the Ghana Premier League, accumulating 12 points out of a possible 30.
Martin Koopman’s departure comes just three months after he was appointed by Hearts of Oak.
He was the first coach to be fired in the ongoing Ghana Premier followed by Coach Frimpong Manso and Michael Osei.
Hearts of Oak are yet to appoint a new head coach and have been recently knocked out of the MTN FA Cup by division one side Nania FC.
