The Player Status Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has charged National Division One side BA to pay GHC 16,270 to former manager Stephen Abugri.
The fine comes after the Committee found the club guilty of a breach of contract and three months unpaid salaries as well as bonuses.
The Committee ruled that BA settle Abugri’s arrears which amount to GHC4,500 – (January to March 2023).
They were also fined GHC 9,500 for breach of contract after asking the manager to step aside and was later replaced by Enos Adepa.
According to the ruling, BA United will also pay a sum of GHC2, 070, which is expenses incurred during the period the manager was made to step aside.
In addition, the Committee ruled that the club settle GHC 200 unpaid winning bonuses.
All the aforementioned monies sum up to GHC 16, 270, which the club is to pay to their ex-trainer.
The GFA announced the Player Status Committee’s decision on Thursday, December 7, 2023.
Stephen Abugri petitioned the Committee over the unfair treatment in August 2023.
He was appointed as BA United manager in October 2022 and got dismissed in about six months later over poor performance.
