Former Ghana U-20 star, Ransford Osei, has claimed that he was a better goal poacher than than Ghana’s all-time top scorer, Asamoah Gyan.
The former Asante Kotoko striker said he was the best Ghanaian striker during his prime years.
“During my time, there was no one better,” He told Pipapipa Media.
According to Ransford, Gyan only looks better than him because the former Black Stars captain had more opportunities.
“Asamoah Gyan was a fantastic player, but he wasn’t as clinical as me. I could have scored more goals than him, but he had more opportunities than me,” he added.
Ransford Osei is rated as one of the most talented strikers the Ghana have produced but he could not reach his potential due to injuries.
He won the top scorer award at U-17 AFCON, U-20 AFCON, and a silver boost at the U-17 FIFA World Cup.
He was a member of the Ghana U-20 squad that won the World Cup in 2009. He scored four goals in the tournament.
