Vincent Adae Atinga has offered an advice to the players of his former club, Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko as they prepare to face each other in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
The last season’s league winner, who featured for the Phobians between 2015 and 2017 urged the current players of the Ghanaian heavyweights to remain focused and well determined for the much- anticipated clash.
“Playing a super clash is all about you the player because the role of our coaches at the training ground is 90 percent whiles 10 percent goes to the player. On the other hand, the role of the player is 90 percent on matchday and 10 percent for the coach. You have to show a character as a player on the day and make history because a game between Hearts and Kotoko can destroy your career. It can also bring good things to your career.”
“Theses are some of the games that helped me to make headlines with Saddick Adams. You have to be well focused and well determined and build more character towards the game,” Atinga stated in an interview with Mothers FM.
The highly anticipated Super Clash, scheduled for this Sunday at The Baba Yara Stadium, promises an electrifying match between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak.
Asante Kotoko, riding high on four consecutive victories, aims to extend their impressive streak against the Phobians. Positioned at 7th place, they hold a 3-point advantage over Hearts of Oak.
