Accra Hearts of Oak interim manager, Rahim Bashiru has attributed their defeat against Asante Kotoko to lack of concentration.
The Rainbows slipped to a 3-2 to loss on Sunday to their bitterest rivals at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in the Ghana Premier.
Coach Bashiru’s side took the lead via Linda Mtange’s header in the 39th minute before Isaac Oppong equalised with a well-taken effort.
Unfortunately, Steven Mukwala punished the Phobians with another goal, making it 2-1 for the Porcupine Warriors. The attacker then extended the lead for his side after a bad error from Hearts of Oak’s defence.
Substitute, Martin KariKari scored in the final minutes to restore the hopes of the Phobians but his goal wasn’t enough to earn his side a point.
After the loss, Coach Rahim Bashiru said: “We took the lead and we lost concentration. In this kind of matches, you need to be toughless physically and mentally.
“We lost concentration and our focus. It was a game that we had to relax and enjoy it but I don’t know. What I saw was lack of concentration after scoring the first goal that it is why they punished”
