Former Ghana Premier League champions, Accra Great Olympics are set to terminate the contract of six players according to the Communications Director of the club, Saint Osei.
Osei confirmed in an interview with Accra-based Mothers 102.7FM that the the two-time GPL winners are hoping to beef up their squad in the next transfer window, which opens on Monday, December 18th, 2023. However, the decision will see the club sanctioning the departure of several players in a bid to build a formidable team for the second round of the campaign.
“We will be beef up our squad in the next transfer window but we will evict some of the players. We are looking about six players or more because we want to look at players who are committed,” Saint Osei revealed.
Great Olympics have recorded three defeats, one draw and one win in their last five Premier League games.
As the Ghana Premier League progresses, Great Olympics currently holds the 12th position on the table with 16 points.
The defeat to Berekum Chelsea last weekend serves as a setback for Great Olympics, and Walker will be looking to regroup the team for upcoming fixtures to regain momentum in the league.
Their next game will be against Asante Kotoko, who are yet to to lose a game in their last four games.
