Hearts of Oak midfielder, Glid Otanga has given his opinion about the issues affecting the club.
Supporters of the club over recent years are divided about the challenges affecting Accra Hearts of Oak. Hearts of Oak lifted the Ghana Premier League trophy for the first time in the 2020/2021 season since winning it in 2009.
Some believe the Board Members of the club are the problem while others think it is the technical team and the players. However, the Congolese midfielder thinks if the players perform well, there will be no problems at the club.
“As a player, I can’t accuse someone because for me, if we (players) don’t win, we don’t have excuse to say the technical team or the board is not the good. We don’t have any excuse . For me, we are the principal problem and the principal solution.” He spoke to ghanasportspage.com exclusively.
He explained that the team is playing brilliantly but goal scoring is the issue for them.
“The coach is doing his job and we are playing so good. We create a lot of chances but we can’t score.” He added.
Accra Hearts of Oak are currently 11th on the Ghana Premier League table with 18 points after 16 games. After 16 games, the Congolese player has featured in 13 games so far this season.
