Accra Hearts of Oak interim coach Rahim Bashiru has dropped most of his key players as they’re on their way to Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi to face Bechem United on Sunday.

Accra Hearts of Oak will host Brong Ahafo Giants Bechem United on Sunday 31st December 2023.

Accra Giants, Hearts of Oak is traveling to Kumasi without some key players like, Kwadwo Obeng Jnr, Eric Esso, Albert Eounde, Kelvin Osei Asibey, Gideon Asante others have been dropped from the club’s matchday squad to face the Bechem United Sunday, 31st December 2023 at the Kumasi Sports Stadium.

Meanwhile the coach has included Amankwah Baafi and Goalkeeper Richmond Ayi to beef up the squad.

Therefore, the goalkeeper was omitted from the 20-man squad announced for the Mantse derby on Friday, December 22, 2023.

The team is traveling Kumasi with three Goalkeepers, Seven (7) defenders, seven (7) midfielders and
Six (6) forwards/Strikers which sum up to 23 players.


Osie Bonsu, who previously played for WAFA and Berekum Chelsea, completed his transfer on Wednesday, December 20, and he has been part of the team.

Hearts of Oak have had a challenging start to the season sitting 10 with 18 points after 16 matches.
