Asante Kotoko head coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum has sent his congratulatory message to Kotoko’s skipper, Richmond Lamptey for securing a spot in Ghana’s squad for the upcoming African Cup of Nations.
Lamptey was named in Ghana’s final 27 man-squad for the tournament that starts on 13th January in Ivory Coast. As one of three local based players named in the squad, a lot supporters have expressed their joy for the 26 year-old player who has been brilliant this season for the porcupine warriors.
In view of that, head coach for Kotoko Dr. Prosper Ogum has congratulated his captain for making the final list. He expressed his delight on the X app praising the hard work of the former Inter Allies player.
“Your dedication, hard work, discipline, and passion to play and excel at the top level have paid off! Congratulations, Nii! YOU ARE THE MAN!” He wrote.
Ghana is set to open their group stage campaign against Cape Verde on Sunday, January 14, 2024 – that is in 13 days then play against Egypt in their second group match before wrapping up the group face against Mozambique on January 22.
