West Ham manager, David Moyes has revealed he is not too sure whether Ghana’s Mohammed Kudus will play against Brighton and Hove Albion tonight before he joins Ghana’s team for the AFCON 2023.
Mohammed Kudus was named in Ghana’s final 27 man-squad by coach Chris Hughton. However, Hughton explained that the 23-year-old versatile player will join the team later due to a slight injury. Meanwhile in other reports, Ghana did not grant the request of West Ham to allow Kudus to feature against Brighton.
Speaking ahead of the game, Moyes says he hopes Kudus plays against Brighton but he is unsure whether he will be available or not.
“Well, I can’t give you an answer on that either, because we have known we have got three or four players who are due to go for the Africa Cup of Nations. We have not had confirmation on any of them really on the join-up day which is incredibly strange that has not come about.
“You would have thought that would have been ready by now and we are still waiting on that. He (Kudus) is a really important player, so he will be to any team. We are hoping that there is a chance he could be [available for the Brighton].” He said.
Kudus is on red-hot form for the Hammers in the English Premier League and has scored 10 goals so far in all competitions for West Ham.
