A 57th-minute goal from Peter Amidu at the Dun’s Park secured Asante Kotoko a 1-0 win over Gold Stars in the round of 32 stage of the MTN FA Cup.
After a slightly flat performance from both teams, Amidu entered the match as a substitute and scored in his first four minutes to help Kotoko seal a place in the last 16 stage.

The Porcupine Warriors were unable to wrap the game with eleven players. Tedeku, who was already booked was shown a second yellow card in the 90th minute of the game.
He will not be available for selection in their next game of the competition.

Meanwhile, defending champions of the Ghana Premier League, Medeama Sporting Club were crashed out by Skyy FC in Daboase.
The Division One League side produced a much-improved performance at St. Martin’s Park to break the Yellow and Mauves’ hearts through Eric Antwi’s second minute strike.
