Former Hearts of Oak captain Daniel Qauye has demanded that Alhaji Akambi resign from the Hearts of Oak board.
Dan Quayle’s call comes as a reactors Akambi’s assertion that he would arrest any fans that try to harass him or any other board members.
Speaking with Ghanasportspage, Dan Quaye claimed that Akambi has not contributed to any significant progress during his decade of becoming a board member, and thus, the fans attack is Justice in that regard.
Hearts of Oak board member Alhaji Akambi, in a few weeks ago, threatened to arrest any that any Hearts fan who attacks the board unlawfully.
In an audio intercepted by ghanasportpage.com, the long-serving board member indicated that no fan employed the board members. Hence, they would only leave office when the executive board chairman, Togbe Afede XIV, deems it right.
he also stated that the fans do not love the club more than he, Vincent Sowah Odotei, and Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe do, and thus, the fans should give them a break with supposed unwarranted criticism.
“Some of you are talking anyhow, but you guys didn’t employ either me, Nyaho-Tamakloe, or Odotei. People claim the club is for the fans, but what Togbe is doing for the club, I don’t think you guys are doing that. He has employed us. If he tells you to go, we will leave. There are no two ways about that. Some people started some hundred years ago, now where are they? That is life,” he said.
“People always say Alhji has done this and that if you joke, I will have you arrested…I don’t think somebody here loves Hears of Oak more than us, so you people should just give us a break,” he added.
Alhaji Akambi, Odotei Sowah, and Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe have come under many criticisms from the fans who believe the trio is a major part of the club’s decline.
Some claim that the team has made little progress since the trio took over as the primary decision-makers.
“They claim they are good management team. A white man would have resigned. You are running a club, and the fans say they don’t like how you are handling things. A white man would resign. If the laws of Ghana work, Akambi wouldn’t be saying all these things. ” Dan Quaye told the authoritative Ghanaian website, ghanasportspage.com.com.
“For the past 10 years, what significant thing have you done for the club? So they people who have the club at heart are complaining and you say you’ll take them to court then it’s up to you. If he is good, he wouldn’t have chased him in Kumasi. ” He ended.
All of them are there because of selfish interest.
