Assistant coach of the Black Stars, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has urged Ghanaians to rally behind Black Stars players who are available for the 2023 AFCON.
Ghana’s 27 man-list for the Africa’s prestigious showpiece in Ivory Coast is without some key players. Notable among them is Arsenal’s and vice-captain for Ghana Thomas Partey and Brighton’s Tariq Lamptey.
In view of that, Didi Dramani says the full focus should be on the available players for the AFCON not those who could not make the squad.
“We are focusing on players available now. As coaches and as football people, we need to support our players in their transitional cases and that’s their welfare,” he stated in an audio aired on Wontumi FM.
Ghana will begin their campaign to win their fifth AFCON title when they clash with Cape Verde on Sunday, January 14.
