Head Coach for the Black Stars of Ghana, Chris Hughton says he is disappointed that the Black Stars lost to the Blue Sharks of Cape Verde.
Ghana lost 2-1 to Cape Verde at the Stade Felix Houphouet-Boigny in the first round of games of Group B. The Black Stars are now bottom of the Group.
Speaking after the game, Chris Hughton revealed it is a shame that Ghana lost considering the game plan the technical team put in place for the game.
“We are incredibly disappointed with the result. We came into the game with a game plan. We changed the system a bit so we can start on the front foot. We are hugely disappointed with the result. It’s a defeat we are hugely disappointed in,” Chris Hughton said.
Ghana will play Egypt in their next game while Cape Verde take on Mozambique.
