Black Stars Starman, Mohammed Kudus, is reportedly set to miss all of Ghana’s group stage games at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The player has been nursing a hamstring injury, which ruled him out of Ghana’s opener against Cape Verde.
A report by Angel FM suggests that the West Ham United man has still not gained full fitness and will not be available for Ghana’s remaining two games in the group. Rather, the player is said to be available for the knockout stage.
The Black Stars kicked off their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations with a disappointing defeat to Cape Verde in a Group B encounter.
Jamiro Monteiro gave Cape Verde a first-half lead in the 17th minute after scoring from a rebound. Alexander Djiku pulled parity for Ghana in the second half before Garry Rodriguez scored a 90th-minute winner to hand, Cape Verde, all the maximum points.
Following the defeat, Ghana are now bottom of the group and will face Egypt in the second game of the tournament.
