The Black Stars kicked off their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations with a disappointing defeat to Cape Verde in a Group B encounter.
Ghana, who had a shambolic display, suffered a 2-1 lose Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny to go bottom of the group.
Jamiro Monteiro gave Cape Verde a first-half lead on the 17th minute after scoring form a rebound. Alexander Djiku pulled parity for Ghana in the second half before Garry Rodriguez scored a 90th-minute winner to hand Cape Verde all the maximum points.
The Sharks had an incredible game and deserved the win while the Black Stars looked poor and disorganized.
