Ghanaian International, Rashid Sumaila says Ghana are one of the favorite nations to win the ongoing African Cup of Nations trophy in Ivory Coast.
Ghana are in Group B alongside Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique. The Black Stars have already lost their first group stage game to Cape Verde with the game ending 2-1.
However, Rashid Sumaila who featured as a center-back for the Black Stars in major competitions believes Ghana can win the title alongside three other nations. He spoke exclusively to ghanasportspage.com
“I tip four countries to win the AFCON title. The countries are Ghana, Senegal, Morocco and Algeria.” He said.
Rashid Sumaila has 10 caps for the Black Stars. The Black Stars will face Egypt on Thursday 18th January 2024.
