Former Ghanaian international, William Amamoo says he Ghana’s most decorated goalkeeper in Europe.
According to him, none of the Ghanaian goalkeepers can boast of having good records in Europe than him.
The former Hearts of Lions stated in an interview with Accra-based Mothers FM on Wednesday.
“I still hold the title as Ghana’s most decorated goalkeeper in Europe. National team is different and the club level is also different.
“For the national team, you have only one week or two weeks to train with your teammates and you won’t get much time to know the players. But I am Ghana’s most decorated goalkeeper in Europe in terms of club football,” he said.
Amamoo received his first cap for the Blacks Stars at the friendly match against Australia on 23 May 2008.
He started his career at Dansoman-based side Liberty Professionals before subsequently moving to Europe.
His football career lasted over a decade and a half, as he played in Sweden Austria, Egypt, Israel and Malta.
The 36-year-old last played for Swedish division two side Harnosand in 2016 before bringing down the curtains in his career.
