Osman Bukari came on for Williams unfortunately Egypt restored parity through an error he did. Speaking after the game, Ghana boss Chris Hughton says the team is disappointed Ghana only got a point because the performance was an improved one.
“We will continue to fight. “It’s true that there’s a lot of frustration in the locker room. Our team deserved more, but football is like that. It’s frustrating. With a similar performance, we would surely have won. Two errors cost us the match. We didn’t take this opportunity to take the three points.” He said.
Ghana would have to beat Mozambique on 22nd January 2024 with the hope of booking a ticket to the round of 16.
